Emergency & House-Call Visits at Kanata Chiropractor
Many people struggle to access chiropractic care due to physical limitations or lack of availability. Our chiropractors saw a need for emergency and at-home chiropractic care, and made it part of our practice offerings.
A Difficult Situation
Dr. Usmani had someone contact him at the clinic one evening, referred by someone in his community. In dire need of assistance, this person’s father was visiting from China and unable to move due to severe low back pain. Dr. Usmani went to the home with a portable table and tools, and provided care on the spot, for four days.
As the patient’s condition improved over the next several days, he was eventually able to come into the clinic for further assessment and therapy. This experience inspired him to offer emergency and at-home chiropractic care to his patients.
What to Expect
During an emergency or at-home visit, our doctor brings his portable table and various portable tools. Modalities may include Activator®, hands-on treatment, soft tissue work, both manual and instrument-assisted, and taping. The goal is to provide as much relief as possible and help the patient manage their symptoms until they can come into the clinic for further assessment and care.
